We see so many car commercials being uploaded every day to YouTube that it’s getting harder and harder to get excited about anything. But every once in a while, we stumble upon something like this that leaves us with a big smile on our faces and hitting the “replay” button immediately. This new commercial was uploaded by BMW USA and promotes the new M3 with a really nice catchphrase: “Try not to blink”. It’s only 19 seconds long, but trust us, it’s worth the watch. This is the place where you can find all the videos we wrote about. They’re all mixed up together, so expect seeing a crash alongside a new commercial or a presentation video for a new car. Grab your popcorn and enjoy!
Back in March, French rally driver and professional skier Guerlain Chicherit tried to break the world record for the longest car jump. To do that, he drove a modified Mini Countryman on a special ramp built in Tignes, a ski resort in south-eastern France. If successful, Chicherit’s 360 ft jump (almost 110 m) would’ve beaten the record held by Tanner Foust by almost 30 feet.
Unfortunately, something happened and even though the French did some successful practice jumps, during the final and official jump, the car didn’t land as it should have and rolled for a few hundred feet. The high definition video released by GoPro is amazing and shows the crash from several angles, including Chicherit’s reaction when he’s mid-air and realizes something went wrong. There are only two days left until what most of the world considers the most important sporting event, the 2014 FIFA World Cup which takes place in Brazil. However, in the United States things have always been different when it comes to soccer, despite the USA being qualified for the final tournament, but Kia is decided to change all that. And how can you better hope of getting men attention than by releasing a set of commercial featuring the gorgeous Adriana Lima.
The supermodel, which is from the World Cup’s host, Brazil, stars in three videos where she shows Americans what football really is. To be honest, we can’t really see how this is a campaign to promote either soccer or Kia cars, since all most people will look at is Adriana. In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past decade, she is one of the most famous models in the world, winning dozens of beauty pageants and appearing in countless editions of Victoria’s Secret catalog, Vogue, ELLE or GQ. First of all, don’t worry, this is not a graphic video. It just shows a guy riding a Yamaha YZF-R6 on Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles, losing control of the bike and crashing into a Honda Civic that was happening to drive by. That’s not the interesting part, because we’ve seen plenty of videos with bikes crashing into cars, but what’s really spectacular is the way the bike rider gets stuck under the Civic. He needed help from his fellow bikers to get out from there and, amazingly, he didn’t seem to have sustained any serious injuries and was able to just walk away.
Unfortunately, not the same can be said about the bike, who looks pretty damaged, just like the front bumper of the Civic. A little more effort was necessary to remove the bike from under the car and insurance companies will have a blast investigating the crash. [Read the full article…]
We’ve all seen news reports with drunk drivers being interview and they could barely stand upright and if you’re like us, you probably couldn’t help thinking what the heck are these people thinking when they’re climbing into the driver’s seat drunk like that. And while usually most drunk drivers manage to hold it together and drive in a straight line, there are some like this guy over here.
So what do you do when you spot a driver which is obviously extremely drunk and threat to all the others on the road? Most of us, you have to admit it, would probably just drive away and, perhaps, alert a police crew if one is in the way. But these guy (from Poland, if we judge by the drunk’s license plate) deserve all our appreciation because they decided to take attitude [Read the full article…]
